SUMMARY
Responsible to develop and maintain systems required to continuously improve the Inalfa Roof System supplier base through systematic review and improvement. This, coupled with product review and enhancement to supplier processes, are designed to provide Inalfa with the best product available at a competitive price.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Strong tooling knowledge required reviewing and making recommendations to tooling and gauging during product development for advance program.
• Strong analytical skills required to root cause and close issues related to the product
• Strong written and oral communication skills required
• Must be familiar with ISO 14001/ TS16949
• Intimate knowledge of PPAP, FMEA, SPC, PSO, APQP, and QSA
• Able to facilitate and take lead role in design reviews
• Direct, lead, and mentor all lower positions
• Be professional in appearance and demeanor
• Thorough knowledge of manufacturing concepts and methods
• Maintain housekeeping standards
• Promote and practice safe work habits
• Conduct design reviews for advance programs
• Conduct supplier site reviews and analyzes supplier capability
• Develop Inalfa-Supplier team relationships to work in release of new programs as well as resolve current product issues
• Continuously improve supply base
• Evaluate and follow to closure PPAP issues
• Must actively participate in achieving Quality goals
• Capable of reviewing and diagnosing problems with product on the manufacturing floor
• Responsible to maintain the corrective action system
• Have a background with electrical / motor / electronics commodities.
• Interface professionally with the Customers and Suppliers

TS 16949 and ISO 14001 RESPONSIBILITIES
The responsibilities listed in the Inalfa Roof System TS16949 Quality Manual and ISO 14001 Environmental Manual pertaining to this position are mandatory. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree is required
Four-year technical degree preferred
ASQC certification preferred
Two – five years minimum experience in Quality.
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES
• Strong tooling knowledge required reviewing and making recommendations to tooling and gauging during product development for advance programs
• Strong analytical skills required to root cause and close issues related to the product
• Strong written and oral communication skills required
• Strong computer skills with Micro-Soft Office
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Have the ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Have the ability to present information effectively and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Have the ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Have the ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY
Have the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Have the ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk and to sit; use hands to manipulate objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and to talk and hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to focus.
During any failure/cause analysis it is probable that the technician may be required to lift, rotate, and/or operate an entire sunroof assembly. Such assemblies may weigh as much as 50 pounds. Also, it may be necessary to conform ones body to fit tight spaces as vehicle interiors. Because of interior fabric, a technician shall be able to distinguish colors and small details.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
When performing engineering analysis, it may be necessary to sit inside a vehicle containing a sunroof during exposure to water testing. The technician will on occasion be exposed to moving assembly lines, over the road testing, and processing fumes that are typical with the bonding and manufacturing of fabric, plastics, glass, rubber, and sheet metal.
